Languages Canada Trade Mission 2011

August 12th 2011

Every year, over 150,000 students from across Eastern Europe travel abroad to study language and many of them select Canada as their primary destination.

That is why this October, Languages Canada is organizing its first ever trade mission to the eastern part of Europe, with a specific focus on Russia, Ukraine and Turkey.

"We are very excited to be embarking on our biggest trade mission to date to countries that are important and promising for our sector. Our long history with Eastern Europe and the ties we are building with our educational partners in Turkey, Ukraine, and Russia make this a natural step as Languages Canada expands its horizons," explains Gonzalo Peralta, Executive Director of Languages Canada. "Many students start with language studies and then stay on to attend Canadian universities and colleges - their transition into Canada is fairly seamless."

Canada is consistently ranked among the top English and French study destinations in the world, and is well known for its high level of education, excellent standard of living and tremendous opportunities for further studies and employment.

The Languages Canada Trade Mission will start in Moscow on October 24th, continue to Kiev on October 26th and end in Istanbul on October 28th, 2011. International agents will have the opportunity to meet and conduct business with representatives from top Canadian institutions and local Canadian Embassy officials at this inaugural language education mission.

Languages Canada is Canada's premier language organization, representing its two official languages, English and French. With over 170 public and private accredited programs, it is officially recognized internationally and by the Canadian government.
